About Altura Cancer Research

Altura Cancer Research is an AI-native oncology discovery company. We were built on a conviction that the field's slowest steps are not ideas but the path from idea to credible evidence, and from evidence to the partners who can move a therapy toward patients.

Our approach pairs a large-scale AI reasoning platform with disciplined, human-relevant experimental validation.

The platform structures and reasons across oncology evidence to identify and rank therapeutic opportunities; our research model then advances the most promising of them through staged in-vitro and human-relevant testing, under a scientific governance framework that prioritizes rigor, traceability, and reproducibility over volume.

We pursue this across two complementary tracks — biomarker-defined combination and repurposing strategies, and novel small-molecule programs — sharing one validation engine, one data architecture, and one standard of evidence.

Our aim is not to automate science, but to compress its early cycles while protecting the judgment, scientific quality, and data integrity that determine whether a result is real.

Altura works alongside oncologists, researchers, contract research organizations, data partners, and industry collaborators, and advances its programs toward rigorously validated, partner-ready research outputs. We move quickly, but we advance only what the evidence supports.

Altura Cancer Research

Our Mission

Altura Cancer Research is a mission-driven, AI-native cancer research company focused on building durable infrastructure for better scientific discovery. We are being built as a serious long-term institution designed to organize knowledge, connect evidence, and support more rigorous research progress over time.

Our Perspective

Our view is that meaningful progress in cancer research depends not only on new data, but on better systems for structuring knowledge, prioritizing what matters, and turning fragmented information into usable research intelligence. Altura is structured as a for-profit company to support speed, focus, talent, and long-term execution.

Leadership

Our Founder

Altura was founded by Jim French, Founder and CEO. A cancer survivor who lost his mother to cancer, he founded Altura from the belief that cancer research and care should advance faster, with better use of technology, data, and disciplined reasoning. After founding and leading companies across multiple industries, he built a background in strategy, systems, operations, and long-term company building, with a strong focus on automation, big data, and AI. Altura is being built for the long term, with the aim of becoming a credible, durable, and collaborative research organization.
